I need to use Carbon Designer 3D tool to get some idea of a baseline building impact, but the project has an irregular shape floor plan. I would like to ask how the shape factor calculations should be preformed to get equivalent façade/floor/roof areas to the actual project

Thanks for your question and welcome to our Community!
The shape efficiency factor adjusts the factor between the lengths of the walls for the longer side of the building. The measurements are calculated according to the fixed 1.1 ratio. Adjusting the factor also increases the area of internal walls, so it is not recommended to change the factor without manually adjusting the area of internal walls.
Moreover, you can edit manually any building structure and input how much you expect that element to be present in the building.
