What's new in One Click LCA in July 2025

Update highlights

Building & Infrastructure LCA updates

Faster LCA delivery in Miljöbyggnad 4.0, GLA, RICS v1, and Green Mark tools

A redesigned input interface for Miljöbyggnad 4.0 and Whole Life Carbon Assessment (GLA / RICS / Green Mark) tools enables faster assessments with improved responsiveness and control.

Key updates include quicker field switching, smoother data search, saving without triggering full recalculations, and customizable column layouts — reducing friction in high-input projects and supporting faster, more consistent LCA delivery.

Faster access to your most-used materials with favourites

Datasets can now be marked as favourites directly from the search results or query view, enabling quick access to frequently used resources without repeating searches.

This streamlines data selection and simplifies input across multiple projects, particularly when working with consistent material sets.

Understand data requirements faster with visible query descriptions

Query descriptions now appear directly in the interface, enabling faster understanding of each data query’s purpose without opening it.

This enhancement improves navigation speed and supports more accurate data selection across projects.

Work with larger and more flexible datasets in data import

Files with up to 200,000 rows can now be imported before filtering, supporting smoother handling of large or complex datasets.

Additional enhancements include the ability to adjust units during the mapping step and reuse Revit alternative quantities — providing greater control over diverse data formats and minimizing manual adjustments.

Faster, cleaner imports with AI and Excel enhancements

Multiple Excel sheets can now be imported in one step, with the option to automatically merge rows of varying thicknesses using weighted averages — or keep them separate.

AI-based mapping excludes expired and blocked data, enabling cleaner, more accurate results with reduced manual cleanup.

Find better product data with new insights in Materials Compass

Materials Compass now includes enriched product data from verified third-party sources like Sweden’s BASTA system.

New fields such as GTINs, descriptive metadata, and health-related information support safer, more informed material comparisons and selections.

Product LCA & EPD updates

Faster EPD creation with improved input in EPD Hub v3

The EPD Hub v3 tool now features a faster, more responsive input interface to streamline EPD creation.

Improvements include quicker material search and entry, seamless field switching, and the ability to save without triggering recalculations. Customizable column layouts support efficient, uninterrupted workflows.

Benchmark data quality with the EPD Plausibility Checker

The EPD Plausibility Checker benchmarks EPD results against similar datasets in One Click LCA’s database, flagging unusual impact values early.

This reduces the risk of modeling or input errors before verification or publication — minimizing manual review and supporting more consistent, high-quality EPDs.

GWP-GHG (GWP-IOBC) available in all EPD Hub tools

GWP-GHG, also known as GWP-IOBC, is now enabled by default in all EPD Hub tools and reports.

This update ensures immediate access to a key carbon footprint indicator without additional setup — supporting clearer reporting and streamlined regulatory compliance.

Project Usage Analytics now included in Manufacturer Commercial Pack

Project Usage Analytics is now included in the Manufacturer Commercial Pack and is no longer offered as a standalone product.

This change provides broader access to platform usage insights as part of a consolidated offer — supporting project tracking and internal reporting with greater efficiency.

Plugin updates

Streamlined LCA workflows with Revit plugin 4.0.9

The latest One Click LCA Revit plugin (v4.0.9) is now available with full support for Revit 2026 and several enhancements to simplify LCA data management.

New features include advanced filters in the Materials and Results tabs, direct access to LCA data cards from the search menu, inclusion of Element IDs in exports, and support for Parts-based quantification. Multiple selection and UI improvements further streamline configuration and navigation.

For setup guidance, see the updated Revit integration guide.

Local updates

Easier BR25 compliance with updated Danish LCA tool

A new version of the Danish LCA tool supports compliance with Denmark’s Bygningsreglement (BR25), enabling accurate, regulation-aligned assessments.

Key updates include a revised generic material database, grid energy decarbonization projections, and inclusion of A4 and A5 stages to account for transport and construction site emissions. These enhancements ensure carbon calculations meet current national requirements.

Assess infrastructure impacts with new tool for EN 17472 and CAM Strade

A new LCA tool is now available for infrastructure projects, supporting compliance with EN 17472 and Italy’s CAM Strade (Criteri Ambientali Minimi) requirements.

The tool quantifies life-cycle impacts across all stages, helps identify materials with higher recycled content, addresses end-of-life dismantling scenarios, and generates audit-ready reports to meet CAM minimum environmental criteria — supporting infrastructure assessments aligned with both EU and national regulations.

New data import interface now default for Japanese users

The updated data import interface is now the default for AEC users in Japan, delivering faster and more intuitive data entry with improved workflow support.

During the transition period, the option to revert to the previous version remains available to ensure flexibility.

Database expansion

Strengthening coverage with 17,841 new industry datasets

Expands modeling across materials, production methods, and industrial sectors — especially construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing. New datasets support more detailed, accurate, and representative life-cycle modeling.

Broadening your modeling capabilities with 210 new generic datasets

New datasets include heat and energy recovery ventilators (25), heat exchangers (31), filter fabrics (19), heating boilers (12), solar water heaters (4), bentonite (1), precast concrete piles (54), gravel (5), crushed rock (10), macadam (8), sand (3), soil (6), silica fume (1), and GGBS (1). These additions expand coverage for both product and building LCAs across mechanical, civil, and materials scopes.
