Hi, I had created a building project with my student licence. It had expired after the 2 week
period, but my project is still on going. Is there a way you can revive it for me?
Hi there! I noticed one of your projects was set up on a trial license, while another is already under your student license.
Since we can’t extend trial periods, I’ve gone ahead and linked that trial project to your student license so you can keep working on your assessment without any interruptions.
Okay, Thank you for your help. Will check it out.
Hi, I have started a project for the Saint Gobain´s competition earlier, now logged in to LCA and it says licence are not activated. Are you able to help with this case?
Hi Tommi,
Your project seems to have been linked to a trial, which expire after 2 weeks. Participants to the competition have received instructions on how to activate their projects. I have now linked your project directly to the competition license.
Good luck with the competition!
Dear ENVI-met Support Team,
I am writing to request a backward-compatible physical license file (.lic) to activate an older version of the software.
1. Current License Status: I recently purchased an ENVI-met Student License. The credential provided to me is a License Activation Code (LAC), which operates on the modern online authentication architecture.
2. The Technical Issue: For specific research consistency, I must run an older build—specifically V5.6.1 (Winter 23). The Headquarter in this legacy version only accepts physical .lic files for offline hardware registration (via the “Open License file…” interface) and lacks the module to process LAC online verification.
3. Specific Request: Could you please provide the official procedure to convert my active Student LAC into a static .lic file valid for V5.6.1? If this requires manual generation from your server, please confirm, and I will securely provide my LAC and the corresponding Machine GUID.
Thank you for your technical assistance.
Sincerely,
Hi Jeasen,
As announced in August last year, the old licensing system has been shut down at the end of 2025. We therefore cannot issue and older license file. All legacy versions using the license file are not supported anymore.
Since you mentioned that you need consistency, I’d highly recommend re-running the simulations in 5.9 - this version is about 2.5x faster compared to 5.6.1 so it should not take too long to re-run them.
Best,
