Hi, I had some issues uploading the Excel template into OneClick RICs v2 tool (the template available here Upload template
Below are some of my issues:
RICS v2 seems not to have all EPDs as RICS v1. For example building energy consumption only has 2 electricity profiles? I’ve attached my errors report below to show other mismatches as well.
Some new building CLASSes did not match from the template
Some AI material matches were inaccurate so we resorted to using the old uploader
Yes, there are only 2 electricity profiles in the RICS V2 tool. This is as according to the RICS 2nd edition guidelines laid out in Section 5.3 and Appendix H. If we have misunderstood this, please let us know if we have missed in our reading, that there should be more choices than those currently available.
The new import will not recognise the CLASSES in the RICS Excel template, it will only recognise the building materials.
If you are importing into the RICS V2 tool using the template, the classical import is recommended.
Based on the screenshot, it looks like some of the mismatches were due to the Quantity Type, as in the unit of measurement. For example district heating is expecting kWh, or MJ, but is entered as m3.
As to why the AI mapping were inaccurate, this may be due to a combination of causes.
Please send us the Excel sheet you have used to support@oneclicklca.com
This will help us understand some of the root causes for the issues you have experienced.
Aha, those can still be used. The correct one would be ‘OCL_import_form_Building_Metric_v1_11.xlsx’. Since we have made changes to our import process you no longer have to use those. You can upload any file, as long as some key column headers (name, quantity, unit, and class) are present.
