Hi Fatemeh! I have added this option to your account for 14 days . Do let me know if you have any questions.
For users experiencing this issue when importing data into a design:
error on the website:
> Error in reading the file: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property āpostFileā on null object
This issue is affecting mostly educational users. We have effected one change for students using this license - One Click LCA Student (International) Business + Carbon Designer 3D.
This error should not occur for students using this license, but if you are experiencing this issue, please report this to support@oneclicklca.com
We are sorry that this is causing inconvenience to you. We are investigating further why this is happening and will resolve at the earliest opportunity.
Hi Erlend! Thank you for providing us with your feedback. My colleague Simon has posted on this thread with the explanation for this error code. If you still experience issues, could you reach out to our support team?
Hi Abdelhady,
Iāve given you access to load results in the Revit plugin, which should fix the first error you were experiencing. Weāre also working on making that error message easier to understand in a future update.
Regarding the second error, my colleague Simon has posted a comment below explaining that weāre looking into it. A temporary fix has been implemented. If youāre still having trouble after this, please let us know or contact our support team.
Hi Steven,
Thank you for following up. Meanwhile, while I am waiting to get the issue resolved with the reading error on the website - can I get access to doing calculations directly in the revit plugin?
Best regards,
Erlend
Hi Erlend,
The issue should now be resolved thanks to a workaround weāve implemented. Iāve also granted you access to load results in the plugin for 14 days.
You can find information on how to use the plugin in these articles:
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi Steven, I am also facing the same issue: Error in reading the file: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property āpostFileā on null object
How can I solve it?
Thanks for the support,
Mayara.
Hello Steven,
Same happens at this account: Error in reading the file: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property āpostFileā on null object
Hello Steven, we are experiencing the same issues with our account when trying to import data in the Cloud : Error in reading the file: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property āpostFileā on null object. Also the same error when trying to view the results within the Revit plugin (error 58252).
Hi Mayara,
Iām sorry youāre experiencing the same issue. Could you please tell me at which step of the import process the error occurs? Our developers are investigating it.
Hi there! Thanks for letting us know youāre also having this issue and Iām sorry this happened to you. Since your error seems related to a trial, Iāve escalated it to our developers immediately. Iāve also enabled the option to view results in Revit for your account.
Hello, I am unfortunately facing the same problem when i click āLCA in Cloudā in the Revit Plugin. I believe I also have an educational license but I do not know what to do.
I am getting the same error: " Error in reading the file: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property āpostFileā on null object", what can I do?
Hi Philip,
Using an educational license should resolve the error youāre encountering. However, Iāve checked your projects and donāt see any currently linked to an educational license.
If youāve received a license key, please create a project before attempting to import. This will ensure a smooth import process.

Hi Abdishukri,
A minor software update this morning should have resolved the issue for educational licenses. Please let us know if you still experience this issue.
