Hello, I’ve completed the Material Inputs including Omniclass for a Hotspot Assessment. The Results indicate “Other Resource Types” is a significant portion of emissions. I’ve reviewed the Material Inputs and all materials are correctly labeled with Omniclass. Where do I find what “Other Resource Types” includes?
The ‘Other resources’ generally includes all categories which by itself, are minor and are not included in the top 10 or 15 displayed, depending on the graph. They can however also include misclassified items. Could you let me know the project ID? I’d be happy to check what the case is for you.
Thanks for offering to investigate this. The project name is 528 Boylston – Construction Document. The Resource-level chart indicates 10.8% Other Resource Types – I’m unsure what those resources are.
The current ‘Resource types’ graph has the limitation of displaying a maximum of 10 types, which means that it basically takes the 9 largest resources types and merges all the others to a 10th group called ‘other resource types’.
I’ve checked your detailed report and eliminated the 9 categories, which shows that within your ‘other resources types’ are included the following resources groups:
Aluminium frame windows
Aluminium-framed glass doors
Brick, common clay brick
EPS (expanded polystyrene) insulation
Fibre cement products
Mortar (masonry/bricklaying)
Organic insulation
Oriented strand board (OSB)
PIR (polyisocyanurate foam) insulation
Plastic membranes
Regular gypsum board
Just to note, we are working on a complete redesign of our results pages, which includes completely new graphs that will provide more insights (and more flexibility for troubleshooting). I do not have a date on when that is live but I am hoping early 2026.
