I’m not sure whether this is a bug or an error in the input data I provided, but when I refresh the page, the data sometimes becomes inconsistent even though I didn’t change the input. For example, this time the result is different between carbon heroes benchmark and plausibility checker. On carbon heroes,my building got grade G meanwhile in plausibility checker, my building got grade C. Please help!
Hi Shintya,
The plausibility checker evaluates quantities to determine if they align with typical values for a building of your scale. Additionally, the Carbon Heroes benchmark compares your project’s results against other projects within the One Click LCA database.
Reviewing your data, I noted that 97.98% of your reported emissions are attributed to vertical structures. This significant proportion suggests a potential discrepancy in the quantities specified for these elements.
Further analysis indicates that the majority of these emissions originate from two material quantities, both identified as virgin materials with 0% recycled content, which represent the highest emitting material grade.
I recommend verifying the accuracy of these material quantities, as they constitute the primary source of your project’s emissions and contribute to the elevated benchmark values observed.
Regards,
Steven
so what cause the result to be different? since i dont actually have comparison project
Just to clarify the difference between the checks, the plausibility checker focuses on the material quantities and specific plausibility criteria, whereas the Carbon Heroes benchmarks analyze the total emissions across a 60-year lifespan. It’s worth noting that your project’s calculation period is set to 50 years, while the Carbon Heroes benchmarks consistently use a 60-year timeframe.
Additionally, the Carbon Heroes benchmarks evaluate the total emissions per square meter and, for instance, exclude operational energy. This article provides a detailed explanation of what’s included in the Carbon Heroes benchmarks: Carbon Heroes Benchmarks | One Click LCA
