Newly added data of epd

I have just requested an EPD dataset for a material to be added and have received feedback the material has been added however I cant access the material data while using the planetary global,I am wanting to find out if there is any other way of accessing the data.

Hi Sunday!

The visibility of datasets in One Click LCA is determined by your project’s country setting. To ensure you can see the data you need, please verify that your project’s location is set to the same region as the dataset you are looking for.

On a related note, if you are using our platform for bachelor’s or master’s level studies, you are welcome to apply for a student license. This license provides the full functionality and complete data scope of a commercial license, which is ideal for academic research.

I think a restriction has been placed on the visibility of the dataset,I had filtered it to my country specific setting and received a response showing there is one result possible but I need to upgrade to premium.I am just wanting to double check with you if the restriction is the case here. Thanks

Hello Sunday,

You are correct regarding the data restriction. Our Planetary datasets are typically limited to a project’s specific location. However, this restriction does not apply to commercial or educational projects.

If you need to access data from another country, I recommend creating a new Planetary project for that location. This will allow you to view the local datasets available there.

Hello Steven,

Thank you for the update.

I have created over FF our planetary projects and have set country settings to Nigeria in all cases but still not able to view the dataset that has just been added for me.

Remember I mentioned that I had personally sent the epd of African foundries steel rebar to oneclick lca for it to be added to the database and have received a response from them that it has been successfully added however I am not able to access this data on both materials compass and planetary platform.

Can you confirm if you are able to access this from your end using Nigeria country settings.

Many thanks

Hi Sunday, could you let me know which resource this is about? Either the full name or the EPD number would suffice, I can then check what is the case.

Hello Steven,

The resource is as below

Steel reinforcement bars,7850kg/cubic meter( African foundries Limited).

Many thanks

Hi Sunday,

Thank you for confirming the product name. I see that you are using the global version of Planetary.

There was previously a version specifically for Africa; however, that version is no longer active. Access to these resources is now provided through a commercial or educational license.

I will send you a direct message shortly to discuss potential options.
