Display of primary energy indicators in EN 15804 +A2 (Level(s))

Dear OneClickLCA Community,

I am using the student license and am currently using the calculation tool “Level(s) life-cycle assessment (EN 15804 +A2)”.

I have noticed that in the results view under “Change impact category,” only environmental impact indicators (e.g., GWP, Acidification, Eutrophication, etc.) can be selected. The Resource Use Indicators – in particular the primary energy indicators (e.g., PENRT, PERT) – are not displayed in the +A2 tool.

In comparison, the tool “Level(s) life-cycle assessment (EN 15804 +A1)” does display the primary energy indicators in the results view.

Since both EN 15804 +A1 and EN 15804 +A2 normatively include primary energy indicators, I have the following questions:

• Is this a limitation of the student license?
• Or are the Resource Use Indicators intentionally hidden in the +A2 Level(s) tool?
• Is there a way to still export the primary energy indicators in a +A2 project anyway?

I need the primary energy values for a scientific paper and would be grateful for a brief professional assessment. Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards

Hi Elias,

With the expanded scope of indicators introduced by EN15804+A2, we have split the calculation tool into two separate versions to streamline the process. Since primary energy data is not required for the majority of assessments, it is now available through a dedicated tool that includes all additional +A2 indicators.

Please note that this specific tool is currently reserved for commercial licenses and is not included with student versions.
