The revised EPBD brings a major shift for the building sector in Europe.
For the first time, whole life carbon reporting will be mandatory:
2028: new buildings over 1,000 m²
2030: all new buildings
This means LCA and GWP calculations, aligned with EN 15978 and the EU Level(s) framework, will become part of standard compliance.
There are also clear targets for improving existing buildings, with requirements to renovate the worst-performing stock and reduce overall energy use.
If you are working in design, development, sustainability, or regulation, it is important to understand what is changing and how to prepare.
Join us on April 29 to understand what this means in practice. Wiktor Kowalski, Associate Director at Buro Happold, and Maija Kymäläinen, Sustainability Consultant at One Click LCA, will share how teams are approaching these requirements and how to get ready for compliance.
What you will learn:
• An overview of the revised EPBD and its key requirements
• How embodied carbon rules are evolving across Europe
• How to prepare using Level(s) carbon tool
• Live Q&A
