Saved Mapping is incorrectly overwritten by AI-Mapping

Hello, I think there is a bug when saving mappings during import.
I want to overwrite the AI mapping and map a different (correct) data set, then save this mapping. But after saving, my mapping is overwritten again and replaced by the AI mapping. Incorrect EPDs are then mapped, see the following example.

My mapping (EPD: Transportbeton C30/37)

After I clicked “Zuordnung speichern” with checked marks for “save mapping” and “set as default” (Wrong EPD from AI-Mapping: Zellulosefaserplatten)

This also happens, when not checking “set as default”.

This error occurs when importing from the Revit plugin and when importing IFC. Could this be related to the “Set as Company Default” feature?

Hi Tobi,

Traditionally, we only allowed users to find and map data points that had compatible functional units. For example, a concrete element with its quantity in cubic meters (m3) could only be mapped to an EPD that also used m3 as its functional unit.

We have now changed the workflow to broaden the search, allowing you to find any product, including those with incompatible units of measurement. However, the system can only save the mapping if you have the data in the correct unit. When that’s not possible, as in your case, it cannot save your selection and instead assigns the next best mapping that does have a compatible unit (the AI suggestion). This is why your manual choice is being overwritten.

As this is a change to the core import process, it affects all import flows (Revit, IFC, etc.). We recognize this new logic can be confusing, so we are going to add a help message that explains this directly in the interface. I expect it will be live with the next update to our import system at the end of the month.
