The IFC file and the original BIM I have are in German, including all the material properties for the elements. When I tried to conduct LCA, in the “Data Mapping“ step, I cannot see the option of “AI mapping“, is is because the AI mapping function only support English? If not, how can I use that function for my model.

Thanks for reaching out. Our AI mapping feature supports German, but only when using the new import method. The classical import method supports only English.

May I ask what do you mean by “the new import method”? I used the IFC Viewer to import data, which I assume is a new feature. But there is no option of AI Mapping. Which import method should I use then?

The new import method is used by default in the IFC viewer. After the model has been processed, you should see an option for “AI-powered data mapping.”
Could you please let me know which of the following happened?
1. The option for “AI-assisted mapping” was missing.
2. The option was there, but it did not provide any mappings after you selected it.
