Help us beta test our new LCC methodology & tool (Moving to proprietary cost data)

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, our existing Life Cycle Costing (LCC) tool relied on third-party data, which limited how often we could update it and how much granular control we could give you.

We’re currently rebuilding the tool from the ground up (v2) using our own proprietary cost data and we are looking for users to help us validate the methodology and usability.

What we specifically need your eyes on:

  • Parameter Clarity & Intuition We’ve redesigned how you set up the financial engine (discount rates, inflation, study periods). Does the new parameters section make sense at a glance, or is the terminology confusing for your specific workflow?
  • Calculation Realism We’ve benchmarked our data against major cost books, but do the final results feel “real” to you? We need to know if the automated regional indexing (e.g., taking our base data and applying it to your local market) produces a result you’d actually trust in a client meeting.
  • Input Flexibility (Other Capital/Operating Costs) We’ve added fields for “Other capital costs” and “Other operating costs” to capture things like specialized maintenance or one-time fees. We need to know: do these inputs actually fulfill your needs for supplementary data, or are we still missing critical financial buckets?

Technical Note on Data: The beta currently uses our German cost database (which can be localized to any country via our new indexing engine). At launch, we are adding a dedicated UK database. Both are proprietary to One Click LCA.

Want to help us shape the tool?

If you’re on a Business, Expert, or Enterprise license and have 15-20 minutes to run a trial calculation, please reply to this post. We’ll reach out with instructions on how to access the v2 interface.
