Modify design; Included parts. Check all applicable

I have an educational license.

I have already created a design and performed the building material and embodied calculations. I now need to add solar panels to my design.

However, when I first created the design, I did not check the tick boxes for the services under Create a design → Included parts → Check all applicable.

I now have two questions:

  1. Do I need to check these boxes in order to use solar panels and calculate annual energy emissions (operational)?

  2. I tried to change this by going to Modify design → Included parts → Check all applicable, but when I save and come back, the services still remain unchecked. Is it related to my license?
