Copy data from another design

Dear support

While I was trying to copy the data from one design to another design, I accidentally copied the data from the wrong design.

The result is that now both designs are empty.

Does there exist a possibility to undo this action or to find an old version of my design/project?

Hi Diego and welcome to the One Click LCA Community!

Sorry to hear you accidentally overwrote your design, we have ways to recover the data however to see if this is possible would you be able to share which project + design this occurred in?

Steven

Dear One Click LCA Support Team,

I am currently working with two designs in One Click LCA. In one of them, I had already entered material data, while the other was empty. I intended to copy the material data from the completed design to the empty one, but I accidentally did the opposite, overwriting the existing data with an empty dataset.

I have a student license and noticed that I do not have access to the support center. Is there any way to recover the material data I previously entered? I would appreciate any guidance on restoring the lost data or if there is any available backup option.

Thank you for your support. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Maria Ayala

Dear Maria,

Thank you for getting in touch, I understand how frustrating it must be to accidentally overwrite your material data in One Click LCA. I have had this happen myself a few times.

We do have data recovery possibilities, but they usually require a bit of technical work that comes with associated costs. As you’re using a student license, which has limited support access, we’re unfortunately unable to offer a complimentary recovery in this specific situation.

We wish we could provide a more direct solution for you right now. In the future, we highly recommend regularly backing up your project files (e.g., locking them) to avoid any potential data loss.

We appreciate you using One Click LCA and wish you the best with your studies!

Steven
