We’re excited to explore the development of an IFC file reader for One Click LCA! This feature aims to enhance your workflow with the following key capabilities:

  • Import IFC files directly to One Click LCA without other software and middle steps
  • Get the Bill of Materials from your model and import it to One Click LCA
  • Visualize imported file as a 3D model within the One Click LCA applications

  • Review carbon figures visualized on top of 3D models.

We’re looking for:

  • One Click LCA Business, Expert, or Enterprise license holders.
  • Users who wish to upload IFC files in One Click LCA and who can share their experiences.

Hi everyone,
We’re looking at ways to make it easier (and more affordable) to upload your IFC files directly into our system – no third-party software required.

Right now, we’re assessing the need for this feature’s development, and we’d love your input.

Share your thoughts below – your feedback will help shape the final version! Let’s build this together

The main problem with model extraction workflow is that the auto mapping of materials impedes the process. It is not possible to manually assign all materials in one step either. Updating from an excel file is time consuming too.It is were possible to have an excel like interface, where all the materials exported from the 3d BIM model could be edited and easily linked to the One Click resources (carbon factors) that would be great. Then upon saving, One Click can automatically create its model from that excel file built and saved within One Click.

Hi. When You are building Your importfunctionality it is important that we easy can selelect/delect objecttypes and also can choose to import quantitys from other selected propertysets. I work in Infrastructure, so we need that we can import our models with geolocated coordinates. Our projects are large and often contains from 100 too 600 IFC-models in one project so we will need have the possibility to handle a lot of models.

Hello Terje. Thank you for your valuable feedback and guidance. I understand the importance of customizing the data selection and its properties for export to OCL, as well as managing the various IFC models. We will certainly take this into account moving forward.

Hi There, i would like to get involved how this works as i already have started using IFC to excel to OneClick in preference over the Revit plugin due to design models not having materials classified. thanks
